Windows Movie Platinum 12.0 Can't Edit Videos Rendered within Program

Visual of what happens (2 minutes before the program crashes):

EVERYTIME I render a video, when I try to edit that rendered video within Movie Studio Platinum 12.0 if I tinker with the video too much it either:

A. Makes the video turn black but still plays, or
B. Will do this and lock up.

I don't recall this being an issue when I first had the program though.
This DOES NOT happen with videos that I never rendered within the program.

Anyone know what could be causing this problem, and how to fix it?

Although would prefer to fix it within the version I have, would upgrading solve it?
Dark UI's are hard on my eyes so that makes 16.0 unusable for me.

13.0 I'd consider (As never had a trial of 14 or 15 ever), but idk if this issue would still persist or not since I don't have the trial version of that anymore?

I'm not aware of a programme called Windows Movie Platinum 12. It looks like you are using the old Sony Vegas Movie Studio 12. Vegas has its own community forum. Details here https://www.magix.info/us/forum/vegas-products-forum--1229563/

Oh okay I didn't know it'd be considered part of Vegas since it's not in the program name.
I'll ask there then thanks!
