Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. What is this? I cant watch the demo.

I downloaded the software and I cant watch the demo because of that error message. Any ideas??

Make sure you have the latest version. You may have to download plug in for your file type/codec, you mention neither. I had trouble loading WMP 10 (i think it was 10) screwed my computer up. I use the media player provided by AVS.com. They have alot of interesting tools for media production. The media player plays everything, it is my default. You would not want to watch a movie on it, WMP has better quality for that purpose particularly on a large (48") screen. Hope this help.
