why when i record my vocals i hear a distortion?

i'd been using Mixcraft 5 for over 3 years it was great but i decided to buy FL studio & Samplitude 11.5 Producer Edition but everything works great but when i record with magix samplitude i hear like a distortion on my vocals even if i lower down the volume (dB) please help me out i use MAGIX Samplitude 11.5 Producer Edition and a USB MXL condenser Microphone.

Are you recording straight tracks or have yu added any effets or any other types of "garnishments" ?

Hi

I think you may  be overloading the Windows mixer - try lowering the volume in the Windows mixer controls for the microphone - note it may appear as USB microphone - then adjust the level in Samplitude.
