Hi

This problem could be caused by faulty discs, cheap discs. Which brand and type of disk are you using?

Older DVD players have trouble recognising some DVD+R and DVD-R discs, and DVD+RW or DVD-RW not at all.

The quality of the discs used is very important.  I use DVD-R Ritek, Ridisc or Maxell discs with the G05 dye - they are playable in the many DVD players I have tried including my old (10yr+) Panasonic DVD recorder.

For  initial 'proofing'  I write to DVD-RW discs, and only when satisfied with the finished movie do I  write to DVD-R.

Come back with more information
