Why is my usb microphone recording off-beat?

?I am using my microphone that came with my rockband videogame and it records but it is off beat...how can i get it to record right?

You have to look at the settings for "latency". If it is a USB-mic you may have to see the settings in the software.

Are you using an ASIO-driver? I can recommend ASIO4all - it's free and works great.

Make shure you only have one soundcard plugged active. If you have an external SC, deactivate the internal card.
