Why is it that when I record only 20 seconds of audio, I end up with a file 16 minutes long with silence after my first 20 seconds??

I record something for 20 seconds, but when I transfer it to MP3, there is 15 minutes of nothing that's also a part of the file. What gives?

That is very odd...

I use the Samplitude Producer 11 and when I record, it’s for the exact time I press to start/end the recording.

I am not sure if there is any conflict with the software and your system, or what the problem might be. I have never heard of this before.

What sound card or I/O device are you using?
What operating system?
