why is audio not imported

When ever I load a video to edit (Drag and drop or open) the audio is not imported and I can only edit the video. Why is that. The application use to work OK and i had no problem. Now I can not get the audio, niether of my HD camera nor of any MPEG file. Need your help

Hi,

is there no track with sound visible or is there no signal on the track that is normally used for sound? Did you do the same operations before or is it the first time that you have imported this kind of files? Did you change anything on your system like deleting other applications since you did this last time?
