Why does right clicking stop working after a while in Samplitude 11.5 Pro?

After a while, right clicking doesn't do anything in Samplitude 11.5 Pro. It works for a while. I can't figure out what's making it stop working. It's not any specific length of time, sometimes it works for several hours & sometimes it only works for 10 minutes or so.

I right click in a track item (I can't remember what it's called, but where the volume & pan gizmo is etc) & it doesn't bring up any menu so I can't show my VSTi. I can't right click in the track itself so I can't copy & paste. If I close the project & open it again, things are fine.

It happens to me on both computers I have Samplitude installed on. It doesn't happen in any other programs, only Samplitude. Does anyone else have this problem?

I will try testing this out myself. I have not noticed it as of yet.

What Windows operating system are you using?
Do both systems have Samplitude 11.5?
Have you applied any updates to the Samplitude 11.5 software?

So, I understand this correctly, you are right clicking on the audio object to bring up a menu that allows you to affect the audio object and/or track.

Maybe later today when I have a chance I can replicate the problem, if I cannot replicate it that doesn't mean it doesn't exist but it does mean that if could be something else happening; perhaps another software you have installed that is also on the other machine interfering.

I will get you information that I find.

First, thank you for replying & trying to help. I appreciate it greatly. I am very new to this board & to Samplitude 11.5 Pro & this is my very first post here. I have WinXP Pro with SP3 & all latest updates.

The problem happens in MIDI, Audio objects & everywhere. I just lose my ability to right-click & bring up a menu everywhere. Sometimes it only takes 10 minutes, other times I can work for hours or let it sit over night & it will still be fine, then 5 minutes later it will stop working & that's it. When the problem occurs, I have to exit from Samplitude & start it up again. I have not put any updates in, but I just bought Samplitude a few weeks ago. Less than 1 month.

Any theories would be helpful too.

I have been doing right click menu thing for over a hour (on and off) in a Windows Vista 64. I will test this again here in a moment in the XP system I have.

So far in Vista, no issues.

I have had this problem since the first day I installed Samplitude & it has happened to me every single time I've run the program until now. I too cannot get this to happen again! I have had Samplitude running on 2 computers since yesterday afternoon. I was using one of them for several hours yesterday & the other I just let run. I just checked on the one that I was playing on yesterday because it's the one I used the most & I see that Samplitude had crashed & all there just a message on the screen telling me so. I have started it again & will see if I can get it to fail again myself.

Again, I've never had to "do" anything to get it to fail, it just stops working after a while, so if you have Samplitude installed on a PC that you can let it run, that should be enough to get it to show the problem.

Thanks for trying.

I've let this run over night & I just checked on it. I guess you must have scared the problem away, because right-clicking works ever time now. Thank you! Sorry to have wasted your time. I hope it's gone forever.
