why do some of my samples have question marks on them and wont play?

some of the samples in my sound pools have a question mark on them and wont play, although if i click them a second time it plays, but not the correct sound

Which program and version are you referring to? Samplitude Music Studio or Music Maker or something else?

The program probably cannot find the soundpools because they have been moved or are on a CD or something.
