Why do my MP4 videos have a logo

I am using Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus. I decided to convert some of my home movies to MP4 format so that I could put them on my iPod. On exporting them I was asked to apply for an authorisation code to be able to export to MP4 which I duly did. I received the code and the program accepted the activation. However, could somebody please explain why my MP4 movies now have a logo and the words Main Concept in the top right hand corner.
I previously used ULead Video Studio and I did not get logo's with that. Even worse is that when I returned to the ULead program it now places the same logo in the same place which indicates that its own codec has been overwritten. This is unacceptable as this is a paid for program. Is the only cure to uninstall Magix and purchase another program?

The logo is not encoded into the source material. It's displayed by the trial version of the MPEG4 decoder that is currently used on your machine to display MPEG4 material. You can confirm this by using a program to replay the material that does not use the DirectShow filter system but supplies its own decoding routines, for example - VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).

You could also (re-)install a different MPEG4 codec that should override the Main Concept one: the popular and free DivX or XVid codecs are good options.

This will enable you to use applications for playing your MPEG4 material that rely on the DirectShow system (like Windows Media Player) without seeing the Main Concept logo from their free/demo decoder.

That only helps some... if you burn a DVD you will also have that logo on the movie... at least I do. What an unpleasant discovery.. back to Vegas for me.
