I'm afraid before you can receive major help, you will have to provide a lot more details. From your description it's highly unclear exactly what you're trying to do, how you go about doing that and how it fails. Can you please start at the very beginning and give a detailed account of the whole problem situation? Thanks.

Yes sorry just stressed that I spent alot of money on this And its not working.

Here's my Problem,

On the box it shows the edit screen. on the edit screen you are suposed to be able to view the play back in a box on the top right corner of the screen. It does not do this I have to go to File>> Play Video/Audio... then it brings up a box that says...  >> "please select your device" >> I have to select from the arrow (next to settings
>>user-defined>>video>>Windows Meidia Video Format and then it loads for approx. 15 min. And brings up Windows Meidia Player and that is the only way I can watch it. Please try this so You can understand more [[VIDEO:C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\New Folder\M2U00195.MPG]]

Also, one more thing, I am only 14 so if you could explain it in a less advanced way that be great! this explains misspelled words and my bad grammer
Thanks so much for your willingness to help me

Hi there,

Thanks for further clarifying this. It's still a little confusing and the video you posted doesn't contain anything (if it was meant to illustrate the problem), but I think I get the idea of what is going on. So, you can't preview the video in the program because there's either no preview monitor in the first place or it doesn't display anything when starting the playback in the program. Here's what I'd suggest doing:

First of all, when you're in the "Edit" screen, hit the F9 key on your keyboard to restore the default screen layout. Possibly it was messed up or the preview monitor was accidentally deactivated. F9 will restore everything. Now you should definitely see the preview monitor with the transport controls on it.

If the screen of the preview monitor still appears to stay black when running your imported movie or the demo project, experiment with the video modes of the program. Possibly the default one is not working well with your graphics card. In order to do this, please open the program, go into the program settings (e.g. by pressing "Y" on the keyboard), switch to the "Display options" tab and find the "playback in arranger/video mode" section. Experiment with the different video modes available in the drop-down list and check whether your preview monitor displays the project correctly now. There are several alternatives to the default mode.

I hope this helps.
