Why can't I hear what I'm playing until playback?

Hello everyone

I have the Magix samplitude producer 11 and i'm having a bit of trouble. The audio interfaces I am using are an M audio fast track ultra and the m audio producer condenser mic. Both interfaces have a port for headphones. My question is why can't i hear what i'm playing during recording. When i plug in my guitar I want to be able to hear exactly what the interface is picking up, same goes with my mic. Also when I connect my keyboard i want to be able to hear exactly what i'm playing during recording. As of now, my keyboard goes silent when connected to my interface and i can't hear anything until after i record and play back. Is there a setting i can change to be able to hear exactly what my interfaces are picking up before recording, during recording and even after?

Hi,

What kind of keyboard have you? Where is your keyboard connected :

. to your PC via USB, in this case you send MIDI notes and they are played by the software with the VST. You have to monitor the track.

.  analogic output of your keyboard to the line input of your sound interface, your keyboard create a sound with an analogic signal which is send to your interface. Normaly you can hear it by the mix you defined at your sound interface level.
