Which product is best?

I would like to create an online photo album for a group of about 100 photos, with the following specifications. Can I do this with MAGIX Photo Manager, PhotoStory, or SlideShow Maker?

1. A simple display format—just the photo with the caption underneath it. No fancy border, collage, or artwork.

2. No automatic scrolling—the user would click or swipe their way through the photos.

3. The caption for each photo is in the metadata description field. It would be great to have the caption automatically sourced from this field to the display, but as an alternative If there is a way to easily copy from the metadata to the caption field for each photo that would be acceptable.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Fro online and to meet your requirements - none of the above.

You need a web design product such as Web Designer or Web Designer Premium or a dedicated program for creating online albums.

Where is the online album to be hosted?

Thanks for your reply.

I was hoping that I could export the completed album/slideshow to Dropbox for users to view, similar to creating a presentation in MS PowerPoint and using the view-only PowerPoint app to provide access by others. Other than the online capability, can any one of the MAGIX apps create a simple photo album that allows provides for a caption to be placed under each photo? Can the completed album be printed?

Hi

. . . . .export the completed album/slideshow to Dropbox for users to view . . . .

This is a different requirement to your original post of 'online album' which is inferred to mean on a website.

Slide Show Maker and Photostory can create a slideshow, however the result is a video clip which does not meet your 'clickable' requirement.

Photo Manager has Print Studio as an extra for creating documents - similar to Powerpoint however not so sophisticated..

I would suggest for maximum viewer capability printing to a PDF file - the option to do this is included in Windows and appears under the Printers option as Microsoft Print to PDF.
