When loading Photostory 9

Why does it take a minimum of at least 5 mins for the main window to open
before you can start using the programme.

That could be because of other applications that are running on your system that are slowing the process down. I know my PhotoStory 9 is not immediate when I start it, but I think its around 20 to 30 seconds, not 5 minutes.
