Did you try to drag & drop the file back into video deluxe? MVD is an internal Magix data format that you can use only in Movie Edit Pro or other Magix applications. The video is still there and you can play it in MEP. But for export you have to use an other format, MPEG2, WMV....

What exactly is the "info screen"? I'm not quite clear on what you're seeing.

Other than that, refer to what Lazerboy said: MVD is just a proprietary format with no relevance outside of Movie Edit Pro. Also, it just contains references and meta information and not the actual video/audio data. To export a standard video file, please use one of the options under "Export movie" in the "File" menu of the program.
