This regards the video easy 8 version of the software. The one where you can digitize your videotapes.

Hey! So I have this old sony handycam with a brunch of videotapes om trying to digitalize. I've managed to get the video preview with sound and everything up and running y connection the Handycam through its adapter and then connecting the composite cables from the Magix video saver package. The program finds my input no problem and I choose composite video. I get visual and audio preview no problem but when I hit record my windows says my webcam turns off (?) And the whole thing freezes and nothing else happens. Then it unfreezes and the webcam turns on again and the composite preview goes black as if it has switched to webcam or something. I've tried multiple technical support topics involving recording issues, reinstalled fresh three times but the problem persists.

If anyone has a solution to this conundrum I would greatly appreciate your help.
