There is method may be you can open your arrangements.

First please confirm if MMM 16 Premium is set to back up automatically(normally it does)

Click "Y" on keyboard when MMM 16 Premium is opened, And see if the back up time is set or not. Refer screen shot's red marked area.

If back up timing is set then there is a possibility you can find your arrangements.

Instead using that crash arrangement click on File/Load arrangement and try to locate your saved arrangements if you have any folder for that. Refer screen shot

The file you are looking at in the above screen shot is for reference. You should locate your file whatever its name is?

If you can not locate then try other method.

Same Click on File Load arrangements when window will be opened look at the right below(refer screen shot)

The first screen shot showing the normal way for opening project files saves as mmm.

The third screen shot showing to select BAK the backup file. Example if my project file was saved as apocalypto then I will search for it with BAK extension in this case apocalypto.BAK and click OPEN. The saved backup file will open the lost project files if there isn't any kind of changes. Otherwise some file might be missing.

This is the most simple way to locate our lost projects using backup files.
