There are not just "a few differences". There are a lot!!

Music Maker
Music Maker is an easy-to-use tool for the creation of music. You can record your instruments and voice there, or use synthesizers and samples. Or make your own melodies by MIDI.

All in all "Music Maker" is the easiest way to make music. Following up there are products like Music Studio (for advanced but not professional users) or Samplitude (professional software).

Rescue your Vinyl & Tapes
This product is more compareable to Cleaning Lab. The main use-case is to connect your tapedeck / vinyls to your computer (that's what the preamp is for actually) and after that you can optimize your audiofiles (restauration) and burn it.
Short:
You can not make music with "Rescue your Vinyl & Tapes", but do what the name says: Rescue your old audio-stuff.
