Bought 'Rescue Your Videotapes' thinking I could not only connect the VHS recorder to the PC but also a camcorder but the correct cables aren't in the box to do the camcorder connection.
Any idea what I need and where to get it?

Though different, both your camera and the VHS need some hardware to convert the 'analog' electrical signals into numbers (digital for the PC). A web search of S-video (which I found your camera had) and USB came up with several cable options eg:

(I'm not recommending, I just found their sites.)
If your VHS can already connect (it usually has composite video out, typically a yellow RCA plug) I think there are also s-video/composite video adaptors though s-video direct is probably better.

When I checked all the cables I managed to figure out that the scart connector has the red, yellow and white as well as an S connection (though this was a female connection too) and that this could be plugged into an adaptor like the one that you suggested and then into a USB connector. That works for the video to the pc. Managed to get a video onto the pc with sound using that method.
I think that what I need to look for is something similar for the camcorder but with an S connection that is male with the cinch pins so I get the audio and then I can connect using the connector that you suggested and the USB thing provided. It's just finding one!
