Web Designer Premium 16: Error: File seems to be empty

Inge60 wrote on 7/18/2019, 9:29 AM

We currently are facing a weird problem in Web Designer Premium. Rather often we see a pop-up with the error message "File seems to be empty" (in Dutch). Then, the only way to continue is to open a backup file, waiting for the error to come back again. Reinstalling the program didn't solve this issue.

Does anyone know how to solve this annoying problem?

Thanks!

Inge

@Inge60

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Please note this is a user to user forum and not Magix support.

Xara Web Designer does have a forum at TalkGraphics. However searching the forum shows that this was a known issue in the past, however no resolution has been found as to the cause of the issue.

We need more information about your computer and Web Designer - see this topic for details required and what is your Anti virus / Firewall program?

Is the file size of the project you are trying to open 0 bytes?

If you load a backup file and save this immediately does the saved file have a file size > 0 bytes?

. . . . waiting for the error to come back-up again . . . .

When does the error come back again?
