Web Designer 17 Premium - Portuguese Language not possible

aruanan wrote on 11/10/2020, 5:06 PM

I can't change the language to Portuguese, neither from Portugal, nor from Brazil. When trying to change to Portuguese, only English and German appear. What do I need to do to get the Portuguese language installed? I need to use accentuation! This problem is making it impossible to use Web Designer 17 Premium. I use Windows 10. My notebook is a Dell Inspiron 5509.

Hi

Assuming you mean you want the program interface to be in Portuguese this is not possible, the version you have is only English or German.

Thanks for your answer, John EB.

In previous versions of Web Designer that I worked with (I went to version 9 premium), there was a choice of different languages.

I have already solved the problem of using spelling accentuation in my texts. However, I noticed that when I use a plugin from the Web Designer library (Content catalogue) it is not possible to use the spelling accent in the words contained in the plugin texts. Such a problem could be solved, as it makes it impossible to use these plugins (eg, footers).

Sorry for the English I use. I used the Google translator.

Are you referring to the Spell Check in Web Designer - if so, there is mention of the dictionary types in the PDF manual, page 415 in my manual, I would suggest you contact Xara support to see if a Portuguese dictionary that is compatible with the program is available.

Using ALT + number codes for accented characters as listed here should work in the plugin texts.
