we are trying to learn how to lay down video without the audio, or going back to the audio track and deleting it all together. it will allow me to lower the db's but not eliminate the audio . thank you.

Hi - I only have MEP 15 but it should be similar in 11.
Click on your video in the timeline - then click the ungroup icon (looks like a broken chain) - now just select the audio track and hit delete.

You can also just mute the audio track

Also you could choose not to import audio when importing from your camera.
