Wanted to tryout MMM 16 with the Trial Free download. But it has trouble loading any VSTs.

Will the Trial Free version ALLOW me to load VSTs? If so then I am having a BIG problem cause I cannot get MMM 16 to load any VSTs. I browse for my VST Folder and select it in the MMM settings box. But MMM just does that "spin" thinking thingy forever!

I also have SONAR and that program can grab ALL my VSTs in a few minutes. I let MMM 16 try it for 15 minutes but still has that "spin" thingy on the screen like its thinking about it.

Any help? thanks.

Yes, but is your SONAR a TRIAL VERSION?  Trial versions do not offer all of the features of the purchased version.

Are you trying to redirect MM-16 to a different folder than the default *Synth* folder?  If you are doing it while MM is open, I don't doubt it won't let you.

Perhaps you should try adding a copy of your VSTi folders to the MM default *Synth* folder instead.

yes its Trial version of MMM16. That is my original Q: will the trial version Load VSTs?

Yes or No? Anyone know how to contact Magix directly? Ive tried but cannot find a direct email to them.

I believe 3rd party VST's only work in Music Maker PREMIUM.

Actually everyone was WRONG here! :) what happened, at least in my case, was that MMM16 Trial Version would always crash out while trying to load the VST folder in Real time. Real time meaning I selected the folder while MMM16 was still running.

So MMM16 didnt want to do things in the traditional way. But MMM16 did load up all my VSTs during 'startup'! It took about 2 or 3 re-starts for MMM16 to grab ALL my VSTs. After that I was able to select any VST from the little pop-up box on the synth track of MMM16.

So YES is the answer to my original question. MMM16 Trial Version will load your VST folder but its a bit funky!

In the end I was very satisfied with the Trial Version and will purchase the FULL blown MMM16 version!
