I would like to know what the medium is all about under the smiley profile icon here in the support section. It leads me to think it might be for uploading sound clips for new soundpools? I don't know what it is, this is why I'm asking.

It is for media that one has uploaded to MEDIA. Interestingly, I just learned that media is a plural noun, the singular is medium. So, if you have uploaded a medium to MEDIA, you will see it under Medium. I have 1.

Hello John, sure and I am sorry for the miss leading here, It is not an actual yellow smiley face like you might think, It is that blue face smiling face beside the new comment button in the header of this page we are using now..

Thanks for the clarification, that is the avatar placeholder where an image will be if you upload one in your Profile settings.
