VSTs not recognised in Samplitude music studio 14

Hello everyone,

I know this question has been asked before, but none of the answers seem to be working for me.

I'm trying to load the Catanya demo into Samplitude music studio 14, but Sam stubbornly refuses to see it.
After reading similar questions on the web, I tried the following:

making sure to use the 32 bit demo, (tried 64 bit as well, just in case);
running Samplitude as administrator;
rescan VST folder , including failed plug-ins;

Make sure the demo DLL file is at a high level;

tried to find the VST.INI file as some answers suggests, but couldn't!

And probably a couple of other things I forgot.

There are instruments in the VST folder which are working perfectly well, such as kontakt 4 and sample tank, but Orchestral String Runs is also in there and remains invisible.

64 bit Sony VAIO running Windows 7, Samplitude music studio 14 version 14 .02

Does anybody have any suggestions for me to try?

Many thanks,

Dom.

I think I've solved the problem myself!

Samplitude can't see Catanya, but it doesn't actually need to.
Because Music Studio 14 can't handle midi routing, you need to use a plug-in such as metasynth to do that job… And it CAN see it!

For a number of reasons it'll be a while before I get a chance to test this solution properly, but I'm fairly sure this is going to work,
