Question here. I have approximately 100 plugins to install in Acid Pro. Would you allow the plugins to go where the computer wants to install them, or would you install them in a specific folder in the C Drive?
@brian-johnson The more paths you have, the more confusing it gets. I would advise to use four different folders for VST2 and VST3 plugins and 64 bit and 32 bit versions.
VST3 plugins go into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 or C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3.
VST2 plugins can be stored where you want them to be stored, usually under C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2 C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2 32-bit plug-ins on 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins
