Why is it not possible to enter values (variables) for the frame rate in key frames in the speed effect? (only with mouse!) For values below 0.25 working with the mouse becomes a hassle!
Roberto, I would think that the designers would not expect that someone would go to the trouble of setting speed keyframes then use the Object Stretch mouse mode. What would be the point?
If that indeed is what you want, a workaround would be to set up the various keyframes as you did, then export that section and bring it back in and apply the Object Stretch mouse mode to the length you desire.
Note that it is normal to work with low frame rates to build, for example, a speed ramp or, in my case, I use speed to correct shakes and I can do it in many cases where the "native" stabilization effects cannot regularize. For example, Vegas Pro, since previous versions, has allowed the user to type the speed in the key frames, seeking precision and thus avoiding inconvenience as in the example I gave.
You can type the speed for each keyframe: just click the speed box, type in what you want, then hit Enter.
I thought the problem issue is the Object Stretch after you've set all the keyframes.
PS: Yet another example of the clumsy change at the time of the new SPR. You can't set an initial anchoring 1.00 speed keyframe because the keyframe control panel is greyed out. You have to set the play marker, set a different speed to 1.00, hit Enter (which creates a keyframe), then reset the speed at that keyframe back to 1.00.
I ask you to confirm the latest version of VPX16 because despite having recorded it on MMS2024, the VPX16 of the "test" version installed on another machine here is 22.0.1.215 (UDC2)
After adding the keyframe, the program does not allow data entry in the frame rate field! It should! But that is not what happens!
Yes, sorry, you're right. Whether it "should" or not is the issue. The frame rate droplist is active when you haven't adjusted the speed (or reset the speed effect). It would be good if you could set the framerate. Perhaps put in a feature request to Support.
A bug I have found is that you can't adjust the speed of a keyframe by clicking the green box on the object (turning it yellow). The speed is adjusted for the keyframe that the Play marker is on, not the one you clicked. If the Play marker is in a blank area on the object, a new keyframe is created there.
In this last version (244), if possible, see: create a clip on the timeline that is longer than 1 second (important). Transfer it to the project folder. Navigate to it in the project folder and play the playback from the source monitor and evaluate if it will play until the end corresponding to the created size. (If it only plays up to 1 second then they didn't fix the existing bug!)
