What the file format and video codec of the video files we're talking about? What version of Movie Edit Pro are you using?

If you got the current version of the program and you have some kind of MPEG-4/3GP source material, make sure to activate the MPEG-4 codec in Movie Edit Pro to be able to import the files. That would be my first recommendation. If that doesn't help, further clarification as to the format of the video files is definitely required.

Ralftaro is correct. More info is needed.
In the meantime you can convert the files to something that will work with MEP. You can find some converters here.
After you locate the proper codec and install it, MEP should read the files without conversion.
