When we go to export our movie mts format, we choose the advanced settings and get a old screen to choose settings export data. I cant get the new export data screen back like on our other machine. We have been authorized to have Video pro x6 installed on two PCs in our office

we are also having digital phasing going on with that export module. we cant export any movies with hardware acceleration

Hi

Do you mean when you select the Advanced button one computer is like this

and the other is like this

If so then the first computer is using the Intel mpeg codec for encoding and the second is using the Main Concept mpeg codec.

To switch one of them you change programs setting shown in the image below

. . . . digital phasing going on with that export module. we cant export any movies with hardware acceleration . . . .

What do you mean by digital phasing ?

Do you have Hardware acceleration turned on in the programs settings and are also  selecting the Calculate video effects on GPU option in the export dialog - if so don't. -  use one or the other but not both.

Hi

What you are referring to sounds like MPEG block noise which is usually a result of trying to compress an MPEG stream too much especially where there is a lot of detail and / or movement in the frame.

Maybe analyse your input and export file with Media Info (TM) and and post the text version of the result along with a screenshot of your Advanced encoder settings, and we can suggest some better settings to try.

If your graphics card is allowing hardware encoding during export using (Nvidia) Cuda or or (ATI) Open GL then this can introduce artifacts also, so try exporting with Software only ie disable HW encoding (and HW acceleration in all settings John has suggested).

Thank you for the responses everything suggested worked perfect. I have discovered that rendering 1920x1080 needs really good camera work so I have changed some of our camera settings. Ill get into that when I can really share what Im doing and youll probably be able to see the holes in my production method..
