Video Pro X Activation Fails And Magix Support Is Slow...

I am trying to activate Video Pro X on my computer. The activation fails with error code -56.

I can start the program though, and under Help --> about Video Pro X I can see the serial # and, in my user data in Magix web site, the program shows as actvated.

I can download the extra-content, but when I try to install it, the program says that 'Extra-content can only be installed when Video Pro X' is unlocked.'

It is truly unbelievable that a simple program activation causes so many headaches. Magix suppoprt is very slow.

Can someone please help?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

. . . . I am trying to activate Video Pro X on my computer. The activation fails with error code -56. . . . .

What version of Windows was the program installed on initially and has this changed ie upgraded to Windows 10 after initial installation?

Was the program installed on Windows 10 after upgrading from Windows 7 or 8?

In both cases the upgrade to Windows 10 may not have been totally successful ie some system files are incorrect - try re-installing VPX using this procedure.

If neither of the above apply check the following:

  1. Internet Explorer ( not Edge on Windows 10) has been setup correctly and can access the Internet

  2. Any firewall software you have is not blocking VPX from accessing the Internet.
