Video images are stretched and thin

My imported video images look stretched on the Magix preview monitor. Those images are filmed using Samsung Memory Camcorder F30 and they look standard on the camera playback. Audio is fine.

Hi, it seems your camcorder's native video resolution is SD 640 x 480 @ 50i

You'll need to change your project properties to suite. As the default setting is probably set for something higher which accounts for the problems you describe.

SD DVD frame sizes are bigger than what you can shoot with your camera so if you intend making DVD's Movie Edit Pro will have to invent pixels that aren't there possibly resulting in some pixilation but definately some degredation of quality.

However, SD 640 x 480 @50i is ideal for video's on websites, Youtube etc
