Video files have no audio

I'm putting together a 2 hour presentation featuring videos and photos of someone's life. I got the video files off of a flashdrive, then imported them from the flashdrive, to my computer. Then when I go into Magix Video Pro X5, the video works, but no audio is heard. Not even on the preview before I drag and drop it into the timeline. I looked over the settings, and I even have it so the audio and video tracks are seperate, and still no sign of any audio tracks underneath the video. There's music soundtracks in this same project, and I can hear them fine, so it's not audio in general, but something that has to do with those video files I think. Thank you for any help you can offer!!

Hi Lynns

Can you hear any audio when you play the files in Windows Media Player or VLC Player?

Can you analyse the files with Media Info or Gspot and see if it reports audio data?

I downloaded Gspot, and the report seemed to indicate that the audio was working properly with no malfunctions. So I tried experimenting a little more, and finally solved the problem by deleted all the video footage off of the timeline, changing the settings so that the audio would be on a separate track, and then reloaded all the files on by one, instead of importing 50 something of them all at once.

Thank you so much for your trying to help me out!
