I have got a 7 day trial of magix video easy. When I try to import apple .mov files it just sits there, no error message nothing. I have quicktime installed and it plays these movies without a problem.
Anyone got a solution before i uninstall and look for something else. Thanks.

What is the source of the video file?
Was Quicktime installed before Movies on DVD? If not try reinstalling Movies on DVD.
Use GSpot or MediaInfo to analyse the video - GSpot will also tell you if the correct codecs are installed and available.
Alternatively try the Movie Edit Pro trial download.

John, my question was regarding Video Easy not Movies on DVD.
The source of the mov files was an iphone. The required codecs are installed - Quicktime and other apps play the movies. In anycase I would expect Video easy to install any missing codecs.
My trial has ended and I have uninstalled video easy. I will not be considering any other Magix product.
