Video Deluxe Premium 16 Crashes when importing .mp4

Hi there,

I have a problem with Video Deluxe 16.
When i import a .mp4 file the program crashes.

These files are rather large (2Gb to 6Gb)
Strangely i can view the movie with the inprogram viewer. But when i try to slide it in the program it will crash.

Hi.

I think the version number shown on your error report means that you are using what to English users is Video Pro X2. However, I do not think that should have any bearing on the problem you are experiencing! As far as I can remember VPX2 imported mp4 files without problem.

However, I also see from that error report that the problem is with the mc_demux_mp4_ds.az file (I think!). I wonder, therefore, whether your mp4 file is "unusual" in some respect. (I believe mp4 is a container for various types of file.) You might try downloading and installing the free MediaInfo utility and letting it analyse the file and then post the results of that analysis here. Also, you could similarly download and install the free GSpot, which will tell you which codecs on your machine are needed in order to play the file.

As you say, it is strange that you can play the file in the Preview screen but not on the timline.
