Video Deluxe 2014 PLUS MPEG-2

zetfilm.pl wrote on 4/1/2015, 7:03 AM

I am The MAGIX Video Deluxe 2014 PLUS user. It's new for me although I've been using video editing programs for last 10 years.
The problem I'm having with the program is very annoying. I import MPEG-2 video material from a HDV camera and use the SCENE RECOGNITION tool and afterwards move certain takes recognized by the tool to the timeline NO RED SQUARE is visible on the used take. Normally I edit videos that have hundreds or more takes. If I'm not gonna be able to know which take has beed used already the work on the program is gonna be extremely hard if not pointless. I've tried everything I could to get them RED SQUARES visible but with no result. No other VE program ever gave me this problem with MPEG-2 material.

Please tell me is there some special option that should me checked or activated?

Hi

. . . . I import MPEG-2 video material from a HDV camera . . . .

How are you importing and what is the camera make/model?

Does this happen with any other video format?

Hi Johnbaker,

The camera model is Canon XH A1. And there's no problem with any other video formats.

And there's more, if I import the video using MPEG-2 format with any other VE program and afterwards use it in the MAGIX Video Deluxe 2014 PLUS / Movie Edit Pro Plus, with the scene recognition tool the red squares appear. No problem at all. So obviously MAGIX has a bug or something.

Best regards

Hi,

See this discussion:

See also the several reports I've made about other bugs in the Takes feature. For example:
