So it's like this... I was getting used to random clips loosing audio and having to go back to fix them, before the update. So now, Pro X has taken it to a new height. Last night I am editing a project with lots of clips, and to some, I made speed changes. depending on what I wanted, some I deleted the audio and brought a separated audio under the video clip. I am moving along and then all of a sudden, as I break a clip so its audio drops down, everything goes crazy and all the track 2 audio files were dropping down to track three. At other times, all of a sudden, it seems like there is a long green audio clip covering all the other audio clips on the track below the video which is track one. I hit undo to go back. I start looking around on the timeline and see to my horror, that all the audio clips that I manually set in place have grown and are now green. They extend way farther than where they were placed. I start trimming them to where they should be, and many turn back to a blue color. Also, as I was trimming clips on the timeline with the U key or Z key... strange things were happening with other clips doing things they should not have been doing. I had closed and restarted the program before getting this far. The day before, All was going well and all of a sudden it is jerky playback as if the proxy files were not there. I checked everything and could find no fault, so I reset all the options and it worked correctly again, but then the mild pain of setting the folder structure, again. I wish for more stability. Other than this, my laptop is rock solid.

Hi,

Did you try doing things in a new project? Try one out quickly and do similar things to see if you have similar problems.

Can you break it down into simple, but detailed, steps with some screen shots so that we can try out the same thing?

Watch out for ungrouping audio from video. I have had the ungrouped audio not moved when certain effects are applied, like changing a photo length, transition, etc. Also, the mouse mode can have an impact, especially when using the trimming commands. I covered most of these problems in my tutorial on Basic Editing Part 2.

I will try tonight. No time now. It is one of those things, where I am not keeping notes because I did not expect it all. I did try copying all the clips from one timeline to a new one and the problem audio clips were still as they were. I admit to one thing... to sometimes using "U" to trim a clip, while the clip after it was selected, and it was in Ripple edit... THAT combination really messed things up with other audio clips no where in sight. Was very strange.

Hello..... I edited last night and this morning, and, I am not trying to create the problem... I am just trying to get this project done, but also, waiting for the problem to happen, and it has not. I had created a second timeline to experiment fixing the problems before posting here, and thought some were still there for me to get a screen shot... but, not. Strange. Also, I remembered wrong... The affected audio clips were green, not blue. It was just strange. I will edit more tonight.

I have not again, had this issue pop up. Maybe my computer had some indigestion with ones and zeros, bits and bytes. I do have something related, but will start a new thread for it.

Hi.

Thanks for the update. Good to hear that at least some of your problems are resolved.
