Vegas 16 build 307 keeps crashing

I struggled with this a while back after first installing Vegas 16 - so I left the project alone, and hoped for another product update and bug fix...

I had this Ticket#2018100317003079 but got a bot response just now saying I was closed. I didn't close it, I just abandoned it as it has cost me too much time already, but I feel I must persist and get my money's worth having used it since Version2, but I have been disappointed when Magix took it on and cannot seem to keep it stable.

I came back to it a couple of days ago after another w10 update and a comprehensive driver update with driver easy, and now it crashes every 5 minutes and is unusable. It crashes when moving the cursor through the timeline.

It is the only software on the system that does this. Fujitsu Celsius Dual Xeon with 96G RAM and dual 4k displays.

What's the team's opinion of the most stable version? I am going to downgrade and give up some features I think. Which was the last version before Magix got hold of it?

I get a 404 on that link - I am really unimpressed by the labyrinth of Magix support.
