VCR not recognized

I have a new Dell Inspiron 3880 computer with Intel Core i5-10400CPU @2.90GHz with 12GB RAM, 64 bit Windows 10 Home.

I tried connecting from my Sony VCR SLV-N51 player with standard RCA cables linked to the MAGIX K0065 module then USB to my computer. I downloaded the current version of Rescue You Videotapes from the website (on 12-10-20) but the software did not recognize the VCR. Nothing appeared in the box, in spite of clicking on the down arrow or the refresh icon. I unplugged and replugged the cables, rebooted the computer a couple of times, but nothing changed. Do you have any suggestions about how to make this work?

@James-Mr

Hi.

This may be a driver installer / Antivirus issue - try installing the appropriate driver from here - follow the instructions exactly.
