Using live photos in Photostory 2015 Deluxe

Stefani-Russell wrote on 7/13/2018, 9:02 PM

I am trying to use the video portion of my live photos from my iPhone in my photostory. Unfortunately the audio portion is a hard static noise when it is in the photostory, but it sounds perfect from my file on my computer. What is happening here? How can I fix it?

On the left is a live photo, on the right is a regular video, both made on an iPhone. Is it the bit rate of the audio?

@Stefani-Russell

Hi

AFAICS Live photos are actually 3 second MOV video files - the Lively app allows you to export the 'image' as a movie:

  1. Open the Live image with the app
  2. select Movie at the top of the screen
  3. select Export Movie
  4. select the Save icon.

This saves the Live Photo as a video file in your photo library which you should then be able to load into Photostory correctly.

If you still have issues use MediaInfo to analyse the exported movie and post the results from the Text view in MediaInfo.

When I upload them to my computer, they automatically separate into a jpeg and a MOV file. But the MOV file doesn't work in the program.

Hi

Do you have Quicktime installed? If not try installing Quicktime, do not install the web components of Quicktime - please read the information in the link first.
