How do I take a portion of an existing project to burn to a DVD?

Welcome to the Magix forums.

Taking your question at literal face value, why not open the .MPH project file of the existing slide show, copy the section of the file to a new project and then export this new project to DVD? OR, open the existing project, delete from it the sections you want to remove, save this changed project under a new name, export.
