Your question is very difficult to answer because the usage of audio interface depends on our need.

First of all when you make your mind to buy audio interface make it confirm if that can work on your computer's OS, such as Xp, Vista or Windows 7. Then always get latest drivers if needed in installation of audio interface.

Now which will work well on MMM 17? I guess anyone that is compatible with your computer. Music Maker will recognize any audio interface if that is compatible with your computer system.

Important question what for audio interface is needed?

Simply making music on computer and adding vocals then a normal audio interface with minimum jacks and if you need good mic then with Phantom mic  will be ok.

Do you also want to use audio interface for mixing? then the cost will go up.

Do you need audio interface  for recording Band, Drum or want to use more equipments then audio interface with many Jacks (input out put) will be needed.

Audio interface for Desktop or Laptop?

I am using Tascam US-122 MKII on laptop I am using it as an audio driver.
