UPGRADE Rights and Process

KenM wrote on 4/29/2021, 1:28 PM

I have an currently ACTIVE Xara Designer Pro X365 subscription. I am currently running 2 instances of Designer PRO X, specifically Version 17.
My question is this: Am I entitled to installed Version 18 OR do I first have to PURCHASE an UPGRADE.
Need urgent clarification on this issue as it is not clear on the website etc.
Thanks in anticipation of an answer.

@KenM

Hi,

To be clear, it's not really a subscription. It's called an Update Service and you can read all about it here. The program continues to work after the update service period expires (1 year). You lose access to the on-line Catalogue (download everything prior to expiry) and to M-Hosting (date depends on when you activate it).

You indicate that yours is current, meaning that you have access to the on-line Catalogue. In that case, you can download and install version 18 and it should activate automatically. However, v17 will probably be replaced.

You should join the TalkGraphics Forum for everything about Xara. You may want to search there or ask a question before proceeding.

When does your Update Service expire?
