Update Service Photostory Deluxe

Hi, just purchased the Photostory deluxe update service for another year.

No issues getting the free add ons (Panorama studio & European travel package), but did not get a download link / exe file for the upgrade service as I did when I purchased it last year.

So have assumed it has done it without an download file being provided, or I had to go into the program and manually check for online updates. I have done the latter and got a message saying none available, maybe there isn't?

I didn't check what version I had before paying for the update service - but my current version is 20.0.1.62 (UDP3)

Any advice appreciated

@PeterD58

Version 20.0.1.62 is the latest version of PS. My recollection is that it was first released some months ago.

When you renewed your update service it simply means that if/when any patch or new version is released within 12 months from your renewal date you will be able to install it without difficulty.

The reminder/advice to renew does not automatically mean that a "new" patch or version has been released.

Thanks Jeff, good to know - with the price for buying it new being similar to paying for the renewal service, there's maybe an argument to let it roll on for a while and starting fresh a few versions down the line.

Hi,

It's always best to let the Update Service expire and wait until sometime after the next version is released. That way you get the new version and possibly the one after. Just keep in mind the part about having to reinstall after the Update Service period has expired - you get the version that was available the last time you paid.

Of course, if your Update Service has expired and there is an update (there may be a few during the year) with some new features that you want, then you may want to jump in. Also, if there is some third party software being offered that you would like or the price is really good, then jump in.
