Hi John,
How kind of you to get back to me I downloaded the most recent of what you suggested and then downloaded to Magix MD DeLuxe but to no avail, i tried a burn of another dvd on my Magix Photo to DVD No 6 and it was fine, also was able to do an AVI on the preent programme and this played immediately on my PC Screen automatically.
I am not a PC Buff but have used Magix 6 for over 3 years now a great programme but this one not impressed, thank you once again.
From the error messages I would suspect either you have some discs which may be 'borderline' or the Pioneer drive is exhibiting some peculiarity with MX and may be on its way out - it was first released in 2004 IIRC - how old is your writer?.
I would recommend you try the following to eliminate other factors first:
1. Try using the Image recorder option as the burn device to create an iso image of the DVD. If successsful then we have almost certainly eliminated any problems with the objects on the timeline.
2. Try using a different brand of disc (I use DVD-RW for testing - saves money as well .)
As a last resort update the firmware in the Pioneer.
Yes I used that to make Video Copy to disc it worked well with no problems at all,Pioneer only 18 months old and works with all other media, tried DVD-R & DVD + R neither work, the thing is it tells me all those faults but reads the disc tells me how much space etc and what format it is, it then closes the tray which it said it cannot do and up comes the fault, am now re doing it all on No 6 to see how it goes, I only used it yesterday to make 10 DVD of a Wedding all went well with that, I might change the unit for a Dell one perhaps there is a conflict of sorts, they are cheap anyway, thank you for your time will let you know in due course what transpires.
