Trouble geting project burned as blue ray to work

Mr2lizard wrote on 12/12/2015, 2:53 AM

So I have a project all set and ready to go.  I can burn it as a dvd then create an ISO from it with img burn.  I can then mount and play the dvd np.  When I burn the project as a blu ray i get 3 folders I then make an ISO from said 3 but the iso will not play after being mounted.  I though with img burn the 3 folders should go just as easy as dvd.  Any help?  im using photostory 2015 deluxe

Hi

If you want to create ISO images you can do this directly in Photostory without using ImgBurn - the option, Image Recorder, is in the Burn dialog, Recorder dropdown box.

. . . . then make an ISO from said 3 but the iso will not play after being mounted . . . .

  1. Which program are you using to mount the image eg Magic Disc, gburner Virtual Device, etc?

  2. Do you have a Blu-Ray player software installed on your computer?

Hi John thanks for the responce.  When I have been doing image recorder it has been out putting to a folder no img.  I use Daemon Tools to mount all my IMg and iso's.  I usually use Vlc for all my play backs.

Has your VLC been enabled to to play a BD disc?

If not then it cannot play BD discs.

There are several ways of enabling VLC to play BD discs, however rather then trying to 'hack' VLC, I would recommend you try one of the free software BD players.

Note: trying freeware is at your own risk.

Awesome thank you for your help.  Do you have any recommendations for any freeware to try.  Id like to see the playback of project before i buy even more software.

Hi

The only freeware one I have tried was DAPlayer and it was pretty good the only reason I do not use it is because I have Nero Blu-ray player, which is part of Nero Platinum Suite - paid for.
