Travel maps 1.0.1.385 - Location names overwriting each other

William-Lane wrote on 6/19/2021, 11:08 AM

I have locations on a trip that are close together and when the travel route is played the names overwrite each other (e.g. Hong Kong Island, Macao and back to HK Airport 3 - waypoints). The trip covers Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Australia. I use a satellite globe map with North America filling the screen to start with. As I can't change map scale during playback, how can I offset location/waypoint names so they will not overwrite each other.

Also reported directly to Tech Support. No reply from them not even an acknowledgement of the issue. Is this the standard for Magix support?

Hi

. . . . No reply from them not even an acknowledgement of the issue.  Is this the standard for Magix support? . . . .

No it is not - you should have had an acknowledgement email, which is automatically generated within minutes of the request being submitted, giving you the Support request number and more information.

Check you spam folder the see if it is there.

@William-Lane

How, exactly, did you report directly to Tech Support?

As @johnebaker says, it is extremely unusual to not receive any reply or acknowledgement if you created the support request correctly. (I needed to create a ticket earlier today and I received an immediate email acknowledgement, and, indeed, a full reply, within less than two hours of creating the ticket.)

Sent in from the Magix site

as above. Nothing back from them (have checked spam folders)

This shows an error attempt, the actual submission I could not screen save as it changed screens once accepted.

It is possible that it didn't get saved, but I got no further errors.

Hi,

There is nothing wrong with the program - that is the way it works. Unfortunately, there is no function to adjust the location of the text like there is in Vasco da Gama.

What you can try is to reduce the Location size of a point. This adjusts the text closer to the point. Then make the other point location size larger or smaller to adjust the text location.

Of course, the other thing would be to adjust the font, but that would likely not be acceptable.

A nice feature would be a distance from the point and a rotation around the point to be able to adjust the text location.

Hi

The reason you did not get a response is in the first image you posted above in red lettering on the pink background - it never got to Magix support.
