This is what I did, among other things, with nothing downloading after it took my "G3" code. NewBlueFX said that I must download "TotalFX-Magix Edition" from Magix. No download on NBFX "download-dash" works with the serial number that Magix gave me.

The screen shot above shows the TFX ad.

@Scott-Maas hmm, i don't know why that is on that 'New in this version', I'm pretty sure you only get what is in the pic i posted, did you get Ignite Particles & WizardFX suite?

The FxHome Plugins both came with a download link, the NewBlueFX just had the serial number (coupon that activates and sends you a serial number)

Some users purchased MEP not long ago that came with NB TotalFX and I think that the process was described. Try searching the forum within the last 6 months.

Does anything show up under the Effects tab under Extra effects by any chance?

My own view is that NB Total FX is no longer a part of the VPX package.

Personally I blame the lack of regulation on advertising on the internet. Companies can put up what they like in most countries without fear of litigation.

The clues for me in this minefield of advertising gobbledygook are the following.

On this page of product history there is no mention of the effect being perpetually offered.

or in fact whether it just applies to new purchases only or available with upgrades as some effects have been offered in the past. This is despite the product feature pages still displaying the following.

All very confusing and possibly misleading but then advertising on the net is not advertising on terrestrial television where one can complain.

What I go by is the page where you buy the product. The clues there seem to always tally.

Even if they can't quite add up a total properly.

This is also true of the VPX pages which in the past when NB Total FX was offered reflected the "Regularly"(sic) total price.

That total showing now on the VPX 14 page does not reflect the "Regularly" total price that was on show when the effect package was on offer. In fact the regular offered price has never existed.

This is not only totally confusing but in my personal opinion needs sorting as the VPX 14 info pages clearly show it as a part of the package.

Hi Ray,

The question is about how to install NB TotalFX, not whether or not it comes with VPX14. I am sure that NB TotalFX comes with a paid upgrade to VPX14, like it did with Magix Movie Studio. It is called NewBlue TotalFX - Magix Edition in the screen shot below. Here is a link to the same question but about TotalFX with Movie Studio, and your reply. Several users jumped on this deal at the time, so they must know how to install it.

My past purchases show up under “Extra FX”, but not TotalFX.

What’s odd is, there’s a video on YT (top of the list when you search this) that the guy got an actual download link emailed to him like what I got with the FxHome-Particles/Post Fx immediately after purchasing VPX14. They gave me the serial number in a second email, so I know I have a license.

As far as I'm aware there is no NewBlue Total FX icon or 'program' to download. Certainly I don't have one but the individual effects have as from the individual third party effects they come from.

Look at the effects listed as part of the package on the New Blue site.

Then look in the effects section of MEP MS or VPX and you should see.

All the filters and effects listed as being in the package on the NB site then appear within their relevant packages in the effects section.

Of course you have to go through the registration process at NB for any of them to be active.

idd same here, just updated vpx, nothing to see...no totalfx..

add a Newblue fx, click Options at the top of the fx control window, this pop-up should appear, use the arrow key in the little circle top left to go to the Newblue plugins,

Agree it should show on that support page. Looks like this on my system.

Presumably because all of the packages are downloaded.

Hello Gid, the strange thing is, I already did everything like you told. that popup screen from newblue shows all of my installed ones but gives nothing new... Guess I have to send them a mail ;-)

I should have added there are new additional templates for NB Titler Pro to download from their site. Clicking on the icon for the NB Total effect package on that popup screen within your editor should bring up NB Titler and the new Templates are loaded from there.

It is worth checking from time to time, all effects packages for updates. There have been some for ProDad products as well in the last eight months or so.
