TITLES!?

I'm new to magix and cannot figure out really simple stuff like making a blank screen title. The text for my title automatically places itself on the video. I'm usin Movie Edit Pro 14 and I'm baffled, but I've only just gotten it today. If anyone could help, that would be awesome.

If you have gotten it today, you can't expect to be an expert the first day either !
Study the manuals that followed the program, there is lots of informations.

You can make a blank screen title by placing a black, white or coloured picture behind the title.

If you don't use any background video, the background will also show as black by default. To get the title object into the right position, you can just move the title object into place after creating it over an actual video object. You can also find the title objects into the mediapool and drag & drop one of them down into the timeline to the correct position. This way you can open a title editor without it necessarily being attached to a video object.
