Unless things changed in Movie Studio 2023 I cannot replicate your findings in the 2022 version.
It could be your Project Movie settings differ from mine.

I can enlarge my timeline track and close the program, defaults back, thanks for checking MEP 2022 I had the same issue there

If I increase the size/height of each track, including track 1, the extra size/height sticks on reopening the project. This is with MEP 2021 and Movie Studio 2024. Drag the edge line at the bottom of the track details box down.
How exactly are you enlarging the timeline, and are you saving the project?

You've got "Video/Audio on one track" ticked. Untick it in Program Settings>Video/Audio tab. Then drag the track 2 (or the track with the audio) down to expand it.
PS: you've got the same video on the timeline twice there.

No, Ray's video shows that his expanded track one sticks in the expanded/enlarged size when he closes the project and reopens.
I will make a video stay tuned. I'll talk about it so you may better understand, not all audio are goingto be the same sizes, that was why you saw on track one the same clip to show what I like to see will need to edit the main to follow my topic.

Are you saving the project with the different track heights? Or are you expecting a new project to open with changed track sizes?
Modified track sizes are saved with the project. I just tested MMS2023 Suite to make sure.
New projects will always have default track heights.

Use this option every time you start a new project.:
On saving the project, the track heights will remain at their set heights when you reload it.
As in previous versions of MMS/MEP, at least from MEP 2014 and later, the track heights use the default setting when starting with a new project, this has not changed in MEP 2023.
I would suggest that you read the PDF manual available under Help.

Understood. it must be a saved project, not a Short cut of the actual program, guess that will be where I rather just enlarge the track, thanks
Hi,
I use template project files with a couple of the track heights set higher than the default, with track colours and track names in the headers. For a new project, I open the template project and then Save As and use the name that I want for the project. Then I change the Movie name to suit.
Along with each template project, I also export the Movie to an mvd file. If I start a new project without using the template, I import the template movie, copy everything to the template movie, delete the no longer needed movie, and change the movie name to suit.

I feel if I click the short cut to Open the program... but other editors are about the same its defaulted, not a big deal it's just one step I drag the mouse over (spell correcting , sorry)
Yes, that is a good way. I have the program in the bottom tray so it opens to the default startup. I want a new program about half of the time.
