I am having the same problem... I have the bottom screen where the tracks are ..but not the top part of the screen

Probably, your normal Movie Edit Pro screen layout is just a little out of whack or you inadvertently disabled one of the elements. You can turn everything back on in the "Window" menu of the program. Or, even easier, just click on the "Standard layout" option in that menu (or press "L" on your keyboard). This will re-establish the default screen layout you're used to and will probably work for both of you.

Please also keep in mind that the program requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Maybe the resolution is just too low and the screen is off-center. You can increase your screen resolution in your Windows configuration.
